2018 - Day 10

We got to sleep in a little again this morning, finishing breakfast at 9 am. It's been nice to relax a little more the last few days, though the days seem to be flying by far too quickly. We headed out at about a quarter to ten, and after a half hour ride we were at the Ark Encounter.

It took a while to get tickets, and then we boarded the bus that took us up from the parking lot. Riding up it was pretty impressive to see the re-creation of the Ark. I can't imagine how many people there might be on the weekend, because it was a zoo there today (yeah that was intentional). It was a bit of a walk, which allowed us to take it in.

Getting in took a while as there was a big group of us all getting there at the same time. Once we finally got in, it was still crazy busy, but we got out of was just felt like a line. For the next four hours we were flooded (intentional again) with information, a lot of which was great scientific information from a biblical perspective.

While it wasn't mind blowing, it certainly was worth it to come and see it. Salvation is clearly presented as well, which is encouraging to see, as the day of judgement is coming.

It was another half hour ride up to Florence from the Ark Encounter, just outside of Cincinnati. We relaxed in the room for a while, and then walked 15 minutes to enjoy a nice dinner. First time I've had ribs on the trip, and they were fantastic! It's been a struggle to stay awake since dinner, and I'm about to lose this fight, goodnight.

I believe the dimensions are approximately 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, 51 feet high (higher because it's off the ground)

Felt pretty small here

Massive pillars in the middle

These sculptures are incredibly realistic

Dove bringing back the leaf

I have this book at home that's identical to this, 23 feet long when opened all the way

Looks like someone got tired while his wife went to look in the gift shop
