2017 - Day 2

After a good night of sleep and some breakfast, we were off to the harley shop for a service and new rear tire. It was supposed to be about three hours, but that turned into five and a half after they ran into problems (self inflicted of course).

It was 2:30 by the time we finally got on the road. The weather was almost perfect, though we battled strong winds all day. Thankfully we gained and hour coming into BC, and we also got into some nicer scenery. The ride from Chetwynd to Prince George was easy on the eyes, though after one crosses the Pine Pass it becomes a tunnel of trees mostly. The late starts to the riding days will hopefully end soon, so much better to get some riding done in the morning.

We checked into the motel just before 9pm and then got a late supper. My bike if making some strange noises, something is rubbing in the back, though I don't have the capability to lift if off the ground to tell what's going on. I'll have to take it in to the shop again tomorrow. Hopefully it's a quick fix so we can get on the road at a decent time.

Stopped here for a break. Not going this year, though for a while Alaska was on the agenda for this summer
Riding into Chetwynd looked better in real life
Getting close to the Pine Pass
Taking a break at the summit, so beautiful and peaceful here

This how we communicate on and off the bike now, thumbs up for good scenery
